Bogosav Živković

Bogosav Živković (1920–2005〔('XV aukcija antikviteta i slika' )〕) was a Serbian artist. His work is regarded as Art Brut, and has been the central subject of exhibitions in major museums in Europe as well as in North and South America. He is also a featured subject in multiple books. He began sculpting in 1957. He mainly used wood to create human-like figures in a style of vertical composition resembling totem poles.. Among his creations we count Monster, Nun or Prince Marko. These three sculptures from 1962 are kept in the Croatian Naive Art Museum of Zagreb.〔Cardinal, Roger, ''Outsider Art'' (New York: Praeger, 1972)〕〔DuBuffet, Jean, ''Art Brut'' (Geneva: Booking International, 1985)〕〔Bihalji-Merin, Oto. ''BOGOSAV ZIVKOVIC. The world of a primitive sculptor.'' (London: Thames & Hudson, 1962)〕
